BIBLE PASSAGE : Revelation 5 : 12 - 14

MEDITATION

O Lamb of God, who died for me,
Worthy are you, and always will be
To receive worship in the heavenly place,
From all the angels round the throne of Grace,
Attended by humble saints at prayer
And all creation praising there.

PRAYER

O Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world,
have mercy on us and give us your grace.

Almighty God, you made all people in your image that they may worship you and know the mystery of your love.  Hear a prayer for those who have faith, those who have no faith and those who doubt.  Help me to worship you in all the wonder of life.

BIBLE PASSAGE: Revelation chapters 6 & 8
 
MEDITATION
 
O Lamb of God, for ever scarred,
You weep for the world battered and marred -
That destroys the oceans, the land and air,
Not protecting life, not seeming to care,
And dealing in death, weapons deployed
That all creation be destroyed.
 
PRAYER
 
O Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world
have mercy on us and forgive us our failures.
 
Creator God, you made the world and proclaimed it good.  Help me always to honour the sanctity of life, working for justice and protecting the earth, so that this world in all its beauty can be passed on to succeeding generations.

BIBLE PASSAGE : Romans 8 verses 18 - 25
 
MEDITATION
 
O Lamb of God, hung on the tree,
You died so that all the world might see
The futility of trying to cope
Without the living faith that leads to hope
Revealing glory, your Spirit too,
That all creation be made new.
 
PRAYER
 
O Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world
have mercy on us and strengthen our faith.
 
Spirit of God, you brooded over the universe at its birth and continue to give breath to all living creatures, reveal yourself in your creation, through the Word and in human experiences.  Help me to live out my faith in the world.

BIBLE PASSAGE : Revelation 7 verses 15 - 17
 
MEDITATION
 
O Lamb of God, beside the throne,
You call all people to be your own
So the world will not hunger, thirst again;
No longer know hatred, suffering and pain.
Water of life will ceaselessly flow
For all creation here below.
 
PRAYER
 
O Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world
have mercy on us and give us peace.
 
Son of God, in Jesus Christ you lived on earth in poverty and died in humility, hear a prayer for all who are hungry and homeless, all who bear pain and all who need healing.  Help me to be compassionate to all in need.

BIBLE PASSAGE : Revelation 22 verses 1 - 7
 
MEDITATION
 
O Lamb of God, victim of grief,
Slain from the foundation of the earth,
You stretch out your hands, healing the nations -
Offering to all the life of salvation,
When, millions of millions worship raise,
And all creation sings your praise.
 
PRAYER
 
O Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world
have mercy on us and give us eternal life.
 
Holy God, three in one, the perfect picture of unity, hear a prayer for reconciliation in the world, between countries, faiths and ideologies.  Help me to accept others, for we are all made in your image.
